About Fresh Life Design
I'm an interior designer/decorator and mainly operate through word of mouth and from my website. I work anywhere from the Campbell River to the Comox Valley for renovation consultations and will go as far as Nanaimo for color consultations.
Interior design and decorating have long been passions of mine. However, I only recently started my interior design business after retiring from my long-term career as a stockbroker.
Despite being in the interior design sector for a short time, one of my observations is that most people find choosing colors very difficult. This is why colour consultation is one of my most popular services! I have “an eye” for color and décor. Because I genuinely enjoy design and I want to help people, colour consultations and interior designs are a natural fit for me.
The Fresh Life Design Difference
At Fresh Life Design, our average client is interested in re-decorating their home. Sometimes it’s just a fresh coat of paint, but that can often lead to further changes. Small changes might include adding a few pillows and new art, or a more extensive update might be adding new light fixtures which can give a room a more modern look.
When it comes to colour consultations and my design services, I strive for 100% customer satisfaction. Each project is important to me and when a client trusts me with their home it’s an commitment I take seriously. As a designer, I am only satisfied when a client feels comfortable in their redesigned home and is happy with the outcome of our decisions.
Through careful colour considerations, I can update and bring together the elements of a home. A lot of people say they have an “eye” for color. While many people do, choosing colours becomes more of a challenge when the hard surfaces are already in place, and a homeowner wants to freshen things up. Putting a grey on the walls (which is the most popular color right now) if you have gold undertones in the tile, carpets, and even some wood floors, could mean you end up with purplish colored walls, which isn’t very appealing! My design sense and eye for colour allow me to help client's transform their space with a few thoughtful updates.
One of the homes we owned was a waterfront home in the Comox Valley which was showcased in the Comox Valley Christmas home tour. The main color in the house was a deep blue green that mirrored the color of the ocean outside, and people loved how the colour felt warm with the wood accents and floors.
